Many questions on kunnskapsprøven come down to one number: a percentage, an age, a time of day or a number of penalty points. Here they all are, translated from our Norwegian huskeliste. The numbers apply to both the sales licence test (salgsbevilling) and the serving licence test (skjenkebevilling).
The test is in Norwegian only. You may bring a dictionary, but not an interpreter. If you have reading difficulties, the kommune can let someone read the test aloud to you (Helsedirektoratet). That is why the third column gives the Norwegian words: learn to recognise them, and the numbers follow.

The numbers alone will not get you through
Many questions describe a situation and ask what you should do, in the words of the law: åpenbart påvirket, utlevering, for hvis regning. Look them up in the glossary (plain Norwegian with one line in English), then practise:
Sources: alkoholloven §§ 1-3, 1-5, 1-6, 1-7c, 3-4, 3-7 and 4-4, alkoholforskriften §§ 4-5, 5-3 to 5-6, 9-6, 9-7, 10-2 and 10-3 (Lovdata, retrieved 7 October 2026); Helsedirektoratet's commentary to alkoholforskriften § 5-4; Oslo, Bergen and Bærum kommune on the test. The translation is ours, not an official one. The kommune can set shorter sales and serving hours than the law, so check the rules where you work.
